Corona Virus Update
While many around the globe have created agendas to accommodate their lives, health or home situation, we as believers have an obligation to stand firm in the faith and commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This event has brought to memory Jesus’ response to the large crowd in Matthew 14:14, we read there that Jesus felt compassion towards the people. It’s a real thing in the heart of our God and it should be a real thing in the heart of His children to feel compassion on those that are at high risk and others who have been impacted by this pandemic.
Our government officials have ordered to postpone or cancel public events or meetings that are expected to draw 50 or more people. As a church we have a responsibility to adhere to the laws of our land but above that we must exemplify God’s traits, and in this case for us it is compassion.
The decision to stream our services for online viewing only comes from an informed posture to ensure that our church and community benefit from our response. While we believe Journey members are not of the demographic for those at risk, we must act in such a way that our actions aid in the prevention of further exposure to this virus.
