ANVIL Jiu-Jitsu – "Where on the mat, all are forged" – was founded in 2021 at Journey Church in Fullerton, CA in partnership with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, as an outreach ministry designed to provide men and women with an opportunity to learn self-defense through sport. Meeting twice a week, on Mondays and Wednesdays at 6:00 pm, ANVIL offers a welcoming space where one can learn and practice Jiu-Jitsu, encounter God, and receive wise, Godly counsel from others that points them toward Christ. Led by dedicated and experienced volunteers, ANVIL creates an environment where men and women can build spiritual and physical strength in a supportive community.

At the heart of ANVIL’s mission is the belief that the three C’s: “Commitment”, “Camaraderie”, and “Character” help builds up a person in Jiu-Jitsu and in all aspects of life. The goal is to serve the local community by fostering character, camaraderie, and a sense of belonging through martial arts.
